Choice A Read: Ing’s “Cultural Competence” and review Ing and Gabor’s “Cross-cultural supervision: From differences that divide to strength in diversity.” and Module 6. The book chapters stress the importance of evaluators/supervisors becoming culturally competent and responsive and individualizing their approach for evaluation to better influence their staff’s learning, development, and performance.
1. In the discussion board, discuss how you would demonstrate understanding of a variety of the concepts discussed in the articles, and
Module 6. Apply these chapters and Module 6 to a) your work in human services (EA etc.) and as well as personal/working/teaching relationships and b) to one refugee/immigrant group that recently came to Canada. You must provide examples in your discussion so it teaches your readers how to work with that group and important intercultural communication and information to know about the group
